Here are a few words from previous guests:

Our family gets so busy throughout the year and we need time to regroup and refresh. Our times together in this cabin have been so refreshing! Waking up to the sounds of the river has been a highlight for me. The peace calms my spirits and renews my mind. We have so much fun fishing, canoeing and kayaking during the day....playing board games at night. Another plus is the location. Only a few hours from our home and close to Traverse City and Mackinaw. You're time there will be well worth it. Just don't book our week.!

One of our family traditions is to go up north to this cabin for a few days during the summer, and we have a blast! There's alot of great stuff to do- fishing, kayaking, shopping, and best of all, going the Wimpy's ice cream place! It's also always so peaceful by the cabin. The river is so relaxing and one of my favorite things to do is sit on the dock and let my feet dangle into the rushing water.
The neighbors are extremely friendly too. They get to know you, and treat you as if you've always been there. That's what I think I love most about this cabin- it's location. You will have a great time there, and it will be a treat you will look forward to often!

What a rental!!!! If you'd like to stay in a place that is beautiful--elegantly and tastefully decorated, yet very comfortable and homey, and very convenient? This is it!

Either from the upstairs windows, the huge living room windows, or the front deck, the view of the river is breathtaking, beckoning you to listen to its babbling as it flows or to watch the fish jumping at flies!

We have stayed in motels that were supposedly cleaned by professionals, but none have compared to the spotless and organized condition we found in your home. The care taken and the conveniences made us feel so at home and yet very spoiled!

We also enjoyed exploring the area --walking in the woods, picking wild berries, fishing on the river, eating at the local restaurants and visiting some of the stores in town. The location of your home seemed remote, yet in actuality, was only a few miles from town and with very easy access to the main highway--very centrally located.

You have thought of everything for your guests. We were extremely impressed and wouldn't hesitate for one moment to recommend your home to anyone looking for a place to spend some time resting and relaxing!
We're looking forward to the possibility of visiting again soon!

Sincerely,
Dan and Connie

Just a quick note to let you know that we had a wonderful weekend get-a-way at your up north cottage. We were there Oct 28-30 and could not have asked for better weather or such a fun weekend. There were 7 in our group! Dispite the large number - we all fit comforably in your cottage - including the kitchen where we enjoyed our "Waltons" style breakfast and dinners in your large and well stocked kitchen. Thanks for the use of the fireplace - it was perfect! We visited a couple lakes and parks - my sons hunted a little - all in all a fun weekend. My daughter and the rest of the 'younger' crowd went to the Haunted Cornfield for added fun. My son and his wife are already talking about returning in February if all goes well. Highly recommended.

Last weekend was a reunion of sorts for my two brothers and I. From as far away as Arizona we gathered. We were very comfortable with lots of room, clean, and a spectacular view of The Manistee located just out the door. With one of the best trout streams in Michigan just a few steps away, our fly fishing weekend was a unforgetable success. The hammock right on the riverbank is a great place for a nice, peaceful, mid-afternoon nap. I plan to return for a kayak trip in the near future. Thank You Skip and Kathy for this wonderful opportunity.
